IT Graduate Jobs? Meet Wazoku
“Brightsparks has supported Wazoku from its very early days as a small tech start-up. We are now almost 50 people and some of our best talent came via our relationship with Brightsparks, who supported not just in helping to find great people, but also in helping us to shape and run our assessment centres. In the process they have become a true, trusted partner.”
Simon Hill – CEO, Wazoku
Wazoku wanted to attract tech-savvy candidates, those with a real interest in innovation and how technology can impact a business, who also shared their values and culture. They were keen as a business to ensure the team remained diverse and more importantly had the personality and drive to join their Business Development and Implementation teams.
Brightsparks spent time getting to know them as a business and as individuals, this was crucial to gain a true understanding of the business environment and the slight, yet crucial differences in the teams, and how our IT graduate jobs candidates would fit in.
Utilising this information, Brightsparks went outside the “typical” Computer Science talent pool and explored graduates who generationally have an innate interest in technology and how it can be used to support and shape any business.
Brightsparks has a true understanding of start-up businesses and therefore took full ownership for the screening and vetting of all candidates running assessment centres in Wazoku’s office for their IT graduate jobs. This enabled Wazoku directly compare the candidates, make faster decisions and thus reduced the time to hire. It also gave the candidates a chance to display their transferable skills as well as get a better feel for what life would be like as a member of the Wazoku team.
Hires were made from each assessment centre further diversifying the teams with regards to background and personality.
